"Juniperus Bonsai" by Labotanica Design
Discover the Bonsai Juniperus created by Labotanica Design in the studio of SecondNatur. Labotanica Design, created by Jérôme Carrion, is a floral designer who works with fresh, dried and preserved plants in the heart of Toulouse, France. In this article, we detail his process of creating this juniperus bonsai that will take you to a Zen and Japanese world inspired.
The material needed
To recreate this peaceful WORKS, here are the materials you can use:
- a self-made pedestal made of white concrete,
- a short and thick branch,
- a stone,
- one or two branches of stabilized Juniperus,
- preserved forest moss for the foundation if you wish,
- wood glue.
The wood glue is essential, as it becomes transparent when dry.
How does Labotanica Design create this juniperus bonsai?
Beforehand, Jérôme created a white concrete pedestal into which he integrated a bonsai-style branch. In our studio, he starts by cutting out pieces of juniperus of various sizes (between 1 and 10 centimetres). Little by little, he dresses the branch tips with juniperus preserved with wood glue.
