"Christmas Candleholder" by Le Dahlia Noir

Lenaïc Peillon, creator of Le Dahlia Noir, presents a new Christmas decoration you can make in under an hour: a candle holder made from preserved and dried foliage. In this DIY, we’ll take you through each step to make a long-lasting, festive centrepiece that brings a warm atmosphere and catches everyone’s eye.

Materials needed

To recreate the elegant Dahlia Noir Christmas Candleholder, here are the plants and materials you'll need:

How to make a Christmas Candleholder ?

1 - Prepare the materials

Cover the wires with natural Binwire to blend them harmoniously into the decoration.

2 - Create the structure

Form a structure around the candle holder using the covered wires. Adjust the shape according to your desired style, choosing a more open or compact arrangement depending on your preference.

3 - Prepare the foliage

Cut small pieces of thuja, gold-coloured flax, gold-coloured ruscus, and red eucalyptus. These elements will dress up the candle holder, adding volume and varied textures.

4 - Arrange the flowers

Using a glue gun, arrange the preserved flowers, starting with the larger ones, like poinsettias, to create a structured base. Continue with smaller flowers to balance and harmonise the composition.

5 - Add the preserved foliage

Fill in the spaces between the flowers by adding the remaining foliage: thuja, flax, ruscus, and eucalyptus. Be sure to vary the elements to achieve a natural, balanced look.

6 - Place the candle

For optimal safety and to preserve the beauty of the foliage, use an LED candle, which will produce no heat or smoke.

The Christmas Candleholder is now ready to elegantly and naturally brighten up your festive decor. Thanks to the preserved and dried foliage, this creation is durable and reusable year after year, requiring no special maintenance. Offer a creation of natural beauty that is eco-friendly and timeless.
