A very graphic moss that is self-sufficient. It is covered with mini ferns, hence its name. Allows you to create variations in hue and texture in your creations.
General: Preserved moss is natural. Variations in colours and thicknesses may exist between elements of the same reference. Some parts may show slight defects (uneven colour or thickness...).
Use: Can be glued with PVC floor glue, preferably solvent-free or hot glue. Can be stitched with plants or other decorative elements.
Humidity: If the surrounding humidity level is too high, the moss can become waterlogged and let a few drops of colour escape. Do not bring it into contact with other plants or light-coloured porous material to prevent it from bleeding.
Exposure to light/heat: Moss exposed to the sun for long periods of time may discolour - Exposed to heat, it dries out.
Changes over time: Over time, the moss may discolour slightly.
What is preserved fern moss?
Preserved fern moss is a natural forest moss from France, recognizable by its fine, fern-shaped strands. Through preservation, it retains its deep green color, softness and volume for years—without water or maintenance. The box format provides a dense, bushy material that’s easy to shape.
How to use fern moss?
Its natural texture and layered structure make it ideal for:
-
creating a preserved moss frame or the base of moss wall art;
-
adding depth and volume to arrangements mixing preserved moss, foliage and flowers;
-
achieving a true forest-floor effect in displays, immersive décors or artistic installations.
It is fire-retardant (M1 rated), making it perfect for interior design projects in offices, hotels, retail spaces or restaurants.
Also available in standard box and Mini Creabox for sampling and small creations.
